The Paris Olympics is only a few months away. After a one-of-a-kind track and field season, Noah Lyles, a six-time World Champion, and the world’s fastest woman, Sha’Carri Richardson, have geared up their spikes to strike their magic at the Paris Olympics 2024. Recently, Richardson also joined Star Athletics Club to train for the highly anticipated event.

However, interestingly, apart from Sha’Carri Richardson, another LSU star is also hoping to clinch a win at the Big Event next month. The 29-year-old, who faced multiple health issues this season, underwent surgery and rekindled fans’ hopes with his new heartwarming update.

Nethaneel Mitchell Blake gears up for Paris Olympics 2024

On October 23, Track Spice posted an update video of Nethaneel Mitchell Blake, captioning, “Blake just had surgery and is hoping for a smooth recovery for Paris 2024. The last 2 months have been crazy for him,” on X. In the video, Blake, who was under anesthesia while making the video, stated, “Man, these past months have been crazy; I broke my foot, got chronic issues, and got a sports hernia, but coming out of that surgery, bro, I am feeling like yes.”

Nonetheless, despite all the dismay Blake faces, the athlete is eyeing the Paris Olympics. The 29-year-old athlete stated,” But I really appreciate everyone who has reached out to me in this short amount of time. I am feeling super motivated. Let’s go”. This update comes after Blake was stripped of his silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Amid the teammate’s failed drug test, the athlete’s team faced a setback in the 100-meter relay race.

Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake suffers a devastating setback

In the Tokyo Olympics, British track and field star CJ Ujah failed his drug test. The athlete tested positive after unknowingly consuming prohibited drugs through a supplement. Following this news, Great Britain was stripped of the silver they clinched at the 4x100m final relay race. After the loss, the former LSU star revealed to the media, “It has not hundred percent sunk in yet. We are all heartbroken by it. It’s gutting for us, the nation, and everybody.”
