This year has been an eventful one for US sprinter Noah Lyles. In July, the sprinter created history by surpassing a legendary record in athletics. The athlete, despite the tough competition from British sprinter Zharnel Hughes, stormed through the tracks of London at the Diamond League event in less than 20 seconds. He also walked past Usain Bolt’s record for the most 200-meter tracks covered in less than 20 seconds.

Moreover, the athlete who is now ready to compete for the World Championship title in Budapest is also releasing a series with NBC. The 2-part documentary series will share a closer look at Lyle’s life with his fans. In a recent Instagram story, the athlete also hinted at another interesting project.

Noah Lyles hinting at a new project

On July 5, Noah Lyles announced an exciting update for his fans. In a press conference, the athlete revealed that NBC is releasing a two-part documentary series “Untitled:The Noah Lyles Project”  on the sprinter. The series will revolve around Noah Lyle’s life behind the glitz and glam of athletics and his preparation for the Olympics 2024. The two parts of the series will be released in August and September, respectively. Amid this exciting news, Lyles decided to ask his fans for a few title suggestions for the series.

Lyles posted the poster of the docuseries on Instagram, asking his fans to suggest their response in ask me a Question with the caption “What should we name it”. Lyles enthusiasts were quick to react to the question, as fans suggested titles such as ICON, and The “One and Only Noah!.” Moreover, one fan suggested the name “off the record.” Lyles, was impressed by the creativity of the title but did not think it to be a good fit for the series, but hinted it to be a good suggestion for a talk show. As the athlete wrote on his Instagram story “I feel that might be more of a great name for a talk show.”

Noah Lyles seems genuinely stoked about the new series and also posted the poster on Instagram, asking his fans for suggestions with the caption, “We are less than 3 weeks away from my documentary series coming out! What should we name it”. The first part of the two-part docuseries will be released on Peacock on August 18, while the second part will be released on September 15.

All you need to know about the documentary series

In July, NBC announced it was releasing a two-part documentary series on Noah Lyles. The series, produced by NBC Sports in partnership with Global Athletics, will be directed by Showtime’s The Circus director, Scott Beggins. The series will give Lyles enthusiasts a glimpse of the sprinter’s life during the 2023 outdoor season. The first part of the series will be released in August and will be broadcasted one day before the 2023 World Championship. This will cover Lyles’ behind-the-scenes efforts at the 200-meter win at the Racers Grand Prix, Jamaica, and his wins at the Paris Diamond League and New York.

The series will also cover his conversation with his idol and the G.O.A.T. of athletics, Usain Bolt, whose world record for the fastest time of 19.9 in the 200m the sprinter is trying to break. According to the press release by NBC Sports, “A special post-race conversation with the Jamaican Legend  himself, Usain Bolt” The two legends met each other after Lyle’s win at Jamaica.

While the second part of the series is releasing in September, one day before the Diamond League final. The second part of the series will be covering the scenes at the World Championship in Budapest. As the athlete will face heated competition from the other sprinters to defend his championship title

Although Noah Lyles’ starting a talk show would double the joy of his fans, for now, the fans are happy to see Lyles get the attention he truly deserves. Further, this show will also be bringing more attention to the USTAF, which has been struggling to get into the limelight.
