One of the key points discussed in this podcast is how athletes perform at their best when they are free from external pressure. The conversation highlighted the unique experience athletes have when they are operating independently. Lyles emphasized the importance of athletes taking control of their own destiny, serving as their own bosses. The discussion also delved into the idea that when athletes operate independently, they reach a certain level of performance, and it’s crucial for people to recognize and understand this.

Fahnbulleh surprisingly agreed on the fact that people call the track guys selfish. He expressed, “When they say that track guys are somewhat selfish or any professional athlete is somewhat selfish, you have to be because, you are like your own boss, you are like a machine, you just have to keep moving”. The entire episode encapsulates this essence for athletes and includes some cherished personal memories shared by Noah Lyles.
