The Noah Lyles and Grand Slam track saga has been ongoing for a long time now, it seems. Of course, the Michael Johnson tournament would definitely like to have the athlete on board, as he’s arguably the most popular figure in track and field right now. “Noah’s certainly one of those; I mean, Noah is the fastest… Those sorts of athletes are the people that we want to be part of this league.” Michael said about him.

However, it seems that the track superstar himself is very skeptical of the whole deal. He has said numerous times that he’d only join the league once a broadcasting partner is fixed. “[Grand Slam Track is] still in the same position [with me] as it has been all year,” he said in an interview with Letsrun.com. He further added, “And if a tree falls in the woods… did it make a sound?” Thus, Noah Lyles is not fully convinced about the whole thing. This is why negotiations with the track star to join the tournament have gone nowhere for now.

But now, it seems that Noah has issued an update about his participation in the league on X and seemingly become more open to the notion of joining the league. A fan tagged the track star on the platform with a question. He was pondering whether Noah would participate in the recently announced Jamaican leg of GST. The user had doubts over this, as the Jamaican fans had incessantly trolled his girlfriend Junelle Bromfield this year. Despite this, he expressed hope that Noah showing up would be great for the meet.

He said, “With everything that’s happened with Noah & his fiancé, I wonder if he’d race in Jamaica?? I would buy a ticket if you announced running in GST Jamaica.” Noah Lyles did actually reply to him on a very hopeful note. He said, “I will keep that in mind. Unfortunately, the track meet is already in a weird spot for my training. But I will definitely keep it in mind if we can make it work.”

Thus, it seems that Noah Lyles and Grand Slam Track might still find a solution about the whole thing. But, for now, Noah seems to be enjoying his time outside the professional side of the sport as his drama with IShowSpeed carries on.

Noah Lyles sends Olympic warning to streamer

Noah Lyles seems to have finally responded to IShowSpeed’s antics. After he won the 50-meter race between the two, many had praised Speed for going head-to-head with the fastest man in the world. This made the streamer demand a rematch, believing that he would defeat Noah a second time around.

The track star refused and instead decided to take the high road, saying that he’s ready to coach Speed and make him a better athlete. Noah also claimed that he barely put in any effort to win the race against him. This seems to have agitated the streamer who showed the highlights of the race in his live stream and said, “Chat, look at his face; look at Noah’s face… Are you telling me he was going 20%?” Thus, he completely rejected Noah’s theory.

Speed also claimed that he’s preparing to race the 100 m at the LA Olympics 2028. This finally prompted the current 100m gold medalist to respond to him, saying, “Just remember the Olympics standard is 10.00 (sec),” indicating that he’s nowhere near ready to participate in the greatest competition in the world. He also taunted him afterwards, saying that he’d see him in LA. Thus, Speed’s constant downplaying of Noah Lyles’ abilities seems to have finally got to him, which is why he responded in such a manner. While a rematch in the future cannot be ruled out, it doesn’t seem to be the track star’s priority anymore as he concentrates on bigger ventures like the Tyreek Hill race and Grand Slam Track.
