Noah Lyles is one of the most decorated athletes in the track and field world. Over the years, he has stupendously proved his worth by his extraordinary performances and numerous accolades in the field. The 6-time World Champion, holds a great influence on the community, for obvious reasons. Apart from this, he is quite active on social media platforms. He has time and again stood up for the issues he believes in.

Recently, he was seen being vocal about a recent podcast of a South African track and field star. The athlete is a middle-distance runner and winner of two Olympic gold medals and three World Championships in the women’s 800 meters. She has recently opened up about the struggles she faced in her professional life in her memoir.

Noah Lyles moved by ‘self-love’ message

Track athlete Caster Semenya recently sat on a podcast with Chris Chavez. Semenya dished out some motivational lines in the podcast on self-respect and self-esteem which grabbed the attention of Lyles. He commented on the video in X, writing a heartfelt note for the athlete’s inspirational story, “This interview was everything I wanted to see and more. Tbh I really want to hear mores from Caster every time I hear her talk. So inspiring!”?

And Lyles is quite correct in pointing that out. In the video, Semenya’s lines could make anybody fall in love with themselves. Focusing on self-love, she stated, “Take time to understand yourself, take time to study the person you are. Love yourself, appreciate yourself, accept yourself”.?This is one of the best things to get anyone struggling to focus on themselves. Not just this, she inspired multiple others after opening up about her gender bias struggles in her memoir.

Caster Semenya embarks on “The Race to be Myself”

There are a lot of stories about struggles faced by trans athletes, but only some have the courage to share their stories with the world. Caster Semenya is one of them. She has unveiled the struggles she faced in the track community related to her gender since the very beginning. Along the same line, she has narrated her tough journey and her achievements in this field in her memoir ‘The Race to be Myself’.

Everything unfolded in 2009 for the first time when she was just 18 years old. She went to Berlin for a race where she was asked for multiple nonconsensual tests for gender confirmation. Semenya shared the number of times she had court cases going on for the same issue, but how she overcame every bit of it. Despite such struggles, she did not fail in achieving some extraordinary wins in the 2011 World Championships and 2012 Olympics. Now, with this book, she has shared her journey with everyone, for which one of the unforgettable names of track and field Noah Lyles has been seen standing in support.
