Remember when Noah Lyles surged past the finish line in the 100m finals at Stade de France? Given that he is the reigning world champion, many expected him to pull it off. But that’s not the exciting part. He battled it out with his fiercest rival, Kishane Thompson, defeating him in a stunning photo finish. With 9.784 seconds on the clock, he was now the Olympic 100m champion. However, being on top of the world isn’t always sunshine and rainbows.

The sprinter might have bagged the title of the World’s Fastest Man at the Paris Olympics, yet this was a tough pill to swallow for several naysayers. One of them happened to be the Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who believed that he could take the king of a sprint on. Even though they threw shade at each other across social media, the duo never took that debate onto the track. On the other hand, a new exciting challenge has reignited the dispute. What went down?

MrBeast had an interesting proposition for the Olympian, one he couldn’t refuse. The social media content creator organized a battle royale between Noah Lyles and YouTube sensation, IShowSpeed. What’s on the line, you ask? Whoever crossed the line would walk away with a cash prize of $100,000. Unsurprisingly, the sprinter surged past his competitor. Yet, Tyreek Hill wasn’t impressed throwing yet another jab at him on X. But it was IShowSpeed, who clapped back at him, “lmao he’s scared to race me but he’s trying to race u, tyreek u gotta get through me first😂”

Do you remember when the sprinter exclaimed “World Champions of what? The United States?” at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest? The Miami Dolphins star, Tyreek Hill, wasn’t too pleased by this and opined that he would be able to beat the Olympian on the track. Unphased, the 27-year-old took on the challenge, but he had one condition – it had to be in a legitimate race scenario. Terry Crews might just have solved that problem by offering to host this epic showdown.

This brings up to the current debate at hand. What started this dispute again? A video of the quick race floated around the internet, and Tyreek Hill couldn’t help but point out that Noah Lyles won by an incredibly small margin. He added more fuel to the fire by stating, “And track athletes think he gone beat me 😂😂😂” But has the sprinter ever backed down from a good fight? He clapped back by asking him if Hill was feeling left out, Awww feeling left out. I’ll dance across the line on you too.” However, one thing’s for certain. The Olympian was confident he would beat him too. Yet this ignited another debate.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Tyreek Hill really outrun Noah Lyles, or is it all just social media hype?

Defending the sprinter, Gabby Thomas adds her two cents to the conversation

Who would’ve expected this odd duo to battle it out in the 50m dash? Like the rest of us, Gabby Thomas was enthralled by the unlikely matchup between the Olympian and Speed. The results were crystal clear, but many alongside Hill felt the same way. The small margin seemed to determine how good the YouTuber was against the speedster.

Yet, the Olympic 200m champion didn’t seem to think so. She sided with Noah Lyles, claiming that it wasn’t close at all. But this irked one particular fan who decided to mock her and pin her against the content creator. While the challenge seemed ridiculous, Thomas took it on. However, she didn’t think it would prove the fan’s point. The Olympian simply clapped back with, “Honestly I will, but a man beating a woman is not the flex you may think it is 🤷🏽‍♀️” While we don’t think this race would materialize, what prompted this interesting race to take place?

After his incredible stint, it’s not unusual that many would want to challenge Noah Lyles. However, after the dust settled on the grandeur of the Paris Olympics, the sprinter officially ended his 2024 season. But in a recent live stream, MrBeast thought of an interesting way to bring him back to the track. The social media content creator is known for his exuberant challenges, and this time he had an offer many wouldn’t be able to refuse. Anyone who could beat the sprinter would have the chance to walk away with $100,000.

But he believed that it still lacked some spunk. So what does MrBeast do next? He decided to ask his fellow content creator, IShowSpeed to lock horns with the Olympian. As expected, the Olympic 100m champion emerged victorious and Speed wasn’t happy with his defeat. Even if many claim that Lyles won by the smallest of margins, it has been a treat to watch him return to the tracks.
