“Last month on the 25th November I nearly lost my life coming back from New York. When the police came they thought there will be no one alive. When we went to the hospital they were shocked that we was alive. God is so good!” Annie Tagoe opened up about her accident on her official X profile. Furthermore, she reflected on how the cops were shocked to see the state she was in, as it was almost impossible to escape the way her car had crashed.
Unveiling the details, she stressed, stating, “The car flipped over multiple times. The airbag didn’t come out. Hit my chest multiple times on the steering wheel, sprained my shoulders, neck, hurt my hip, knees and ended up with a brain concussion.” As if getting involved in an accident wasn’t unfortunate enough, the safety measures were nowhere to be found in her car when they were actually required. Still, somehow the British athlete managed to survive the accident despite having multiple injuries.
Tagoe also emphasized that being in a foreign country and being away from her family made dealing with the situation difficult. However, she thanked her coach and her training team, who were by her side in these difficult moments. Furthermore, being grateful to her faith, the athlete confessed, stating, “It’s been a journey that I can finally speak about. I am just grateful that God kept me alive cause I really gave up in that car. After that the blessings had been insane. Just wanted to share how happy I am to be here.”
