And Mahuchikh is one of the best choices, as this Ukrainian champion is reigning over the high jumping arena with her prepossessing performances.

Just a day before her birthday, the champion has yet again given an extraordinary performance at the Prefontaine Classic at Hayward Field. With her performance, it seemed like she came ready to own the stage today.

Wanda Diamond League shared a post for Mahuchikh on their X (formerly known as Twitter) account. They shared a series of pictures. While one picture flaunts her astounding performances, the second one shows her beaming with pride after her win. They captioned it as “Mahuchikh defends the Diamond Trophy.” They further added, “The high jump star clears 2.03m to beat Nicola McDermott on countback and claim a second successive Diamond League title in the high jump.”

Though Mahuchikh signed off the Diamond League finals with gold, this year’s win wasn’t that simple, it was a tie between her and Australia’s Nicola Olysagers. It was a defining moment for the contenders awaiting to stand at the podium.

Behind Mahuchikh’s stupendous win, there was a tiebreaker that she had to face. It became intense when Mahuchikh, Nicola Olysagers, and Serbia’s Angelina Topic, all of them cleared out the 1.95m bar at one go.

The Ukranian high jump star had attained a further benefit of first-bar clearance at 1.98m, keeping her slate clean. On the other hand, Australia saved herself by clearing at the final attempt and Serbia failed in all her three attempts, naturally pushing out herself from the competition.
