IShowSpeed’s athletic prowess was no mystery to his millions of followers. After all, jumping off charging Lamborghinis is not a feat for the faint-hearted. However, few expected the influencer to get a head start on 100m Olympic champion Noah Lyles. Yet, that’s exactly what happened during their exhibition race, and although Lyles comfortably beat Speed, the internet exploded.

Moments after the video aired, all the internet could talk about was how IShowSpeed caught the current king of the 100m off guard. Since then, the streamer himself has jumped on the bandwagon that he could very well beat Lyles. In fact, Speed even showed how serious he was by committing to making it to the LA Olympics. Yet, it seems the reigning champion is tired of talking.

So when Speedy HQ on X, once again posted a clip of the streamer discrediting his abilities, Noah Lyles left a simple reply. “Just remember the Olympics standard is 10.00 (sec),” the three-time Olympic medalist wrote in response. The clip in question showed Speed dismissing the 27-year-old’s claims to GQ Sports. In the interview, Lyles admitted to using only “20%” of his energy to beat Speed.

“Chat, look at his face; look at Noah’s face… Are you telling me he was going 20%?” said the 19-year-old YouTuber. However, since IShowSpeed committed to making it to the Olympics, Lyles reminded him of the Olympic standard, adding, “See you in LA,” in the comment. It seems that after repeatedly hearing how Speed would beat him, the 27-year-old has put the ball in Speed’s court.

After all, this is far from the first time IShowSpeed has dismissed Lyles, claiming to possess more natural talent. Speed even claimed he would’ve beaten Noah Lyles even with the technique disadvantage. “If it was 40 meters, I had him. I believe I can beat him. If we did a rematch that day, same 50 meters, I would’ve beat him,” the streamer told NFL legend Shannon Sharpe.

Can IShowSpeed really outrun Noah Lyles, or is he just dreaming big?

However, it’s clear from Lyles’ response that the Olympic champion is unwilling to casually entertain a rematch. At the end of the day, it’s IShowSpeed who must prove himself and make it to the Olympic stage. So the third fastest 200m runner in history wants to speed to prove himself first. So where should the influencer start?

IShowSpeed may have already found a challenge before reaching Noah Lyles at the LA Olympics

Shortly after the exhibition race where Lyles bagged $100,000, his perpetual rival Tyreek Hill couldn’t stay quiet. “And track athletes think he’s going to beat me,” boasted the NFL wide receiver. Tyreek Hill, who once even challenged Usain Bolt to a race, hasn’t missed an opportunity to claim he could beat Lyles in a race. No one to let a jab slide, Lyles also responded.

“Awww, feeling left out. I’ll dance across the line on you too,” said the defending double world champion, referencing how he Eurostepped across the finish line while racing the YouTuber. However, this time IShowSpeed inserted himself into the equation. “He’s scared to race me, but he’s trying to race you. Tyreek, you gotta get through me first,” said the 19-year-old.

However, with rumors of a probable clash between Lyles and the Miami Dolphins star, Speed chose Hill. Seeing how he beat Lyles off the line, IShowSpeed believed Tyreek Hill could comfortably beat the six-time world champion in the sub-50 meter race. “When it first starts, he’s slow as s***,” Speed told Shannon Sharpe. Meanwhile, he also issues another direct challenge to Hill.

“Put your contract… Race me 40 yards,” IShowSpeed said while discussing his willingness to race the NFL star. So it’s not unlikely that IShowSpeed may choose to race Tyreek Hill if he truly commits to pursuing track and field and earning a spot at LA 2028. However, all of this is easier said than done, and maybe that’s why Noah Lyles reminded Speed of the Olympic standard.
