Shelly-Ann started her Pocket Rocket Foundation in the year 2013. The name of the foundation takes a cue from the nickname of the track and field star. Shelly-Ann was often called ‘Pocket Rocket’ for her petite build and explosive starts. Her foundation supports high school athletes in financial need. In one clip in the story, a jubilant Fraser-Pryce was heard saying, “Such a night…I am feeling so blessed, I am feeling so happy…the turnout was wonderful. I couldn’t have celebrated this ten years without our sponsors and, of course, our board members and our recipients. That was really fantastic.”

She has been working very hard for this organization and after three years of break because of Covid-19, her Six-A-Side Football campaign has returned, and she is doing the best she can to bring changes in the lives of the athletes.
