Sha’Carri Richardson is on a phenomenal winning streak. After securing victory at the Miramar Invitational 2023, Richardson recently defeated Jamaican athlete Shericka Jackson in the women’s 100m at the Doha Diamond League. The athlete also secured a win over Britain’s Dina-Asher Smith who obtained the third position in the race. Finishing the race in 10.76 seconds, Richardson was elated and said that she had finally found peace on the track. A recent Twitter post reported this win and claimed that Richardson had beaten 2 out of the biggest three athletes in track and field sports. This led to intriguing and blunt reactions from fans.

By the three athletes, the Twitter post by @Track_Gazette apparently referred to the big three athletes Elaine Thompson Herah, Shericka Jackson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. Though Richardson had obtained victory at the 100m race at the AAU Junior Olympics, she hasn’t yet shown exceptional performances in the Olympics and hasn’t won Olympic medals like Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

Not only this, while Richardson defeated Elaine Thompson Herah at the 100m race at World Athletics Continental Tour Meet, Herah, Fraser-Pryce and Jackson all managed to defeat her at the Nike Prefontaine Classic.

This fierce competition between Richardson and these track athletes is another example of Jamaican and American sprinters’ rivalry on the field.
