In the 2022 World Athletics Championship in Oregon, the track legend led the Jamaican clean sweep in the 100m.

The Jamaican legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has won her fifth world championship title at the age of 35. A feat that makes her stand out in the list amongst the list of track GOATs. Subsequently, she finished with 10.67s on the clock, which is by far her fastest time ever. Behind her were her compatriot and Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah and Olympic bronze medalists Shericka Jackson.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is now a five-time world champion
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is now officially the first person to win five world titles in an individual running event. Along with that, she is also the oldest person to claim a world championship title. Indeed, it has been an amazing journey for the Jamaican track legend, and without any argument, she is one of the greatest track athletes of all time.
Who would have thought her best performance would come at 35. It’s like with age, Shelly has become a more fierce athlete. What she has accomplished is not an ordinary feat. Perhaps it’s somewhat impossible for any other athlete to even imagine the career she has carved for herself. However, Shelly will forever be an inspiration for the generations to follow.
