On November 19, the 3x Olympic medalist went live on his YouTube account. Titled Noah Lyles FULL Training Session in Las Vegas,” the stream gave fans a sneak peek of their preparation. As Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield took off on the track, he confessed how he isn’t a fan of the cold weather. On the other hand, Junelle felt differently, claiming she liked the cold and leaving the 27-year-old puzzled. “We’ve met like a bunch of Jamaicans now that all said that they actually don’t like the heat all that much,” he pointed out.

Jamaica is known for its tropical weather, but according to the 26-year-old, dealing with the heat every day isn’t as appealing as it sounds. While it does get cooler in the nation, Jamaica typically experiences temperatures in the mid-70s to low 80s Fahrenheit in the winter. Comparatively, temperatures often dip to under 40 in the States. However, Bromfield believes there’s a defining factor for this preference—what could it be?

Junelle Bromfield may have spent most of her time in the heat, but the winters in America have been more forgiving for her allergy. She believed that most of the Jamaicans they met experienced the same. “They didn’t all have the same thing you do. They just… some of them just didn’t like the heat,” Noah Lyles pointed out. The Jamaican refused to back down, stating that she knows 3 people who break out in heat hives. However, the Olympic 100m champion stuck by his argument. According to him, they just don’t like the heat.

But apart from the cold, what has the 26-year-old’s time in America been like?

Junelle Bromfield has tried adapting to the cultural differences

On October 12, the Olympic 100m champion finally went down on one knee, and the 26-year-old was happier than ever to accept. Yet, the track and field lovebirds have been living their best life in Florida long before he popped the question. Life in Jamaica hadn’t been the easiest for Bromfield. She was going through turmoil due to one adversity after the other. Things only got worse after Lyles’ confession leading up to the Olympian. With this, Bromfield knew that moving closer to her beau would be her best bet.

However, the sprinter still had difficulty grasping a few differences between the two nations. During their practice session, she points out how universities in the States aren’t the same as in Jamaica. Confused by her admission, Noah Lyles asked her to elaborate. “It’s just so spacious it just look like a sporting complex,” she confessed. This amused the sprinter, who stated they technically were training at the Sporting Park.

However, Junelle didn’t let it go; she pointed out that buildings in America are more spaced out, unlike how things are back home. In Jamaica, buildings are either right next to each other or 2 minutes apart. “That’s a high school,” Noah hilariously noted. On the other hand, this was one of the many amusing experiences they’ve shared lately. The couple recently moved into their humble abode, but that didn’t come without some playful banter.
