But the young sprinter still has a long way to go. Recently, Olympian and her mentor, Justin Gatlin, made a shocking statement that said she has been achieving world record times like 10.3s in practice.

Sha’Carri Richardson finished fourth in her comeback race

After withdrawing from races like the Kip Keino Classic, Richardson finally made her 2022 season debut. The 22-year-old made her debut at the Duval Country Challenge Puma event. In her first race since Gatlin’s statement, Sha’Carri started slow and finished fourth with a time of 11.37s.

The Twitter users were brutal with their reactions to Sha’Carri’s comeback:

10.3s is a ridiculous time because the closest to reaching FloJ0’s time of 10.49s is Elaine Thompson-Herah. The Jamaican set a blistering pace of 10.54s and is currently the fastest woman alive.

When asked about Richardson’s race, Justin said he told her that she’s going to win some and she’s going to lose some. It’s all about how she bounces back from her last race. He also told her she’s going to fall sometimes, and she’s going to be embarrassed at certain times. What matters is she stays focused and shows the world who she really is.
