In a post on X, a handle called Chris Chavez shared some exciting news, writing, “The men’s 60m at the @MillroseGames will feature: 60m WR holder & ’19 100m world champ @__coleman vs. ’21 Olympic 200m champ @De6rasse vs. @ronnie_baker14 (No. 3 on the all-time 60m list) “. However, moments later, with another update, the handle added news regarding Fred Kerley. Ahead of the 2024 season, the account stated that Fred Kerley has withdrawn from the Millrose Games, where he was scheduled to make his 60-meter debut.

The 116th Millrose Games, which will be the 2024 season opener, are scheduled for Sunday, February 11, 2024, at The Armory in NYC. The historic Millrose Games are a benchmark event in track and field, and the track at The Armory is even considered the “fastest track in the world.” This news comes as a disheartening update on the track star, as just days ago he gave fans a look into his plans for the 2024 season with an exciting update regarding his transition to the 60-meter category.
