Trying his best to outwit the other 18 contestants in the Reality Show, Survivor, Charlie Davis is one participant in the CBS show. Alongside, Davis is also preparing to run the Boston Marathon that will be held on April 15, 2024. He was recently seen comparing and finding similarities between the upcoming 26.2-mile run and the ‘Survivors’ show.

The Massachusetts native thinks that the upcoming Boston challenge is similar to the challenges he faced on television. Charlie Davis, who has previously run the Harvard track team, explained to CBS News,Survivor is a lot like running. It is just getting to the next stage, whether it’s mile to mile or vote to vote. I am hoping some of the lessons from Survivor can help up the hills. Any runner will tell you a marathon is a different beast than anything you have done before.”

Calling one of the six World Marathon Majors as the toughest annual run, Charlie Davis talked about the difficulties of the Boston Marathon. He added, “There are no vote-outs in the marathon, but you can certainly take yourself out of the race if you make some mistakes. The hardest part is holding yourself back, then giving everything you have for the last six miles.” Running the Marathon to raise money for the ‘Casa Myrna’ that aims to fight ‘domestic violence cause’, he also shared his technique to overcome the toughest races in the world.

Charlie has his past experiences with running. But that is not where his technique to complete the strenuous run comes from. And he also aims to apply the same trick to the upcoming Boston Marathon, which will run through a long stretch of 26.2 miles from Hopkinton, Massachusetts, to Boston. But what is it that keeps him motivated?

Charlie Davis said that he has been a hardcore Taylor Swift fan, and he plugs into her songs whenever he is on the run. Crafting a useful marathon playlist “is an art” according to him and he will ardently put it to use during the long runs. As he begins the marathons slowly and paces on it gradually, diving deep through his Taylor Swift playlist, helps him to gather energy for the rest of the race. He also mentioned one of his best choices. “I am going to give you a go-to album, which is ‘Reputation’ by Taylor Swift. She’s got some really good, intense songs,” Davis pointed out. It remains to be seen if he truly comes out as a ‘survivor’ through the stretches of the Marathon track.
