Noah Lyles is yet again back in his comfort zone. The spotlight! However, this time, he is not on it for track or trolls. It is just for the love of speed. Lyles was recently seen bringing some of his antics to the Formula 1 grid! Since the 100-meter gold at the Paris Olympics, Lyles seems to have no time for a break. The fastest man was seen at the Las Vegas Grand Prix tracks! But before the tracks, he made a pit stop!
On November 22, Lyles and his fiancée, Junelle Bromfield, were at the Ferrari garage. And it was no casual stroll! It was a full-speed immersion into the world of Formula 1’s iconic Red Speed Giant. He even met drivers Charles Leclerc and Antonio Giovinazzi. The Ferrari page even took it to Instagram and wrote, “From the running track to the race track.” While Ferrari might have been all praises, the fandom wasn’t. As they remembered an old “world champion of what?” remark! However, that has changed as of now with the recent grid antics!
Lyles had a brief interview on the grid with Martin Brundle, Sky Sports presenter and former F1 racer on Las Vegas Grand Prix tracks. So what happened? It was an absolute treat to watch, to say the least! Noah Lyles and Martin Brundle stood amidst the roaring engines that drowned out both their voices. Lyles in the video even went on to say, “I can’t even hear anything!” as he struggled to communicate. But despite it all, Noah Lyles took the moment to turn the attention of big audiences to track and field.

Lyles went on to say, “I was just telling my fiance (Junelle), this is so weird. You never see this in track and field. Somebody is coming on here and staring at you while you get into your starting blocks.” While the effort was seen, fandom couldn’t get past the Lyles noise struggle! While struggling to communicate, his animated gestures instantly turned into a gold mine of laughter for the fandom. F1 fans, however, weren’t just watching—they were commenting.
Fandom left in stitches as Lyles struggles to hear!
Noah Lyles and his mic moment were an instant meme. “Noah Lyles yelling into the mic is so funny, I’m so sorry,” one fan joked. It was clear he wasn’t ready for the chaos of an F1 grid. The moment that he confessed that he couldn’t hear, he was unknowingly screaming into the mic. And almost looked animated doing the same, sending the fandom into a spiral of laughter. But it wasn’t just the noise.

Have an interesting take?
“Noah Lyles on the F1 grid—first time, and he’s already stealing the spotlight,” another fan rightly pointed out. Noah, in the video, looks excited, to say the least. However, the reason he stole the spotlight might not be his medal or the funny moment! Martin Brundle had a hard time this year with an unusually empty Las Vegas Grand Prix grid!
In fact, as Martin walked through, he even went on to say, “This is really odd, isn’t it? Neither drivers, nor team bosses, nor anyone else I want to have a word with.” But eventually, he manages to find some big names! He came across Noah and even actor Paul Mescal. Regardless of the circumstances, the serendipitous encounter had turned into an internet moment for the ages! But not everybody was excited.
Amidst his excitement, one fan went on to remind the world of some words from his recent past yet again. “world champion of what?” wrote the fan, quoting Noah himself. It wasn’t long ago that Noah went on to take a dig at the NBA’s use of the term. He went on to criticize them for calling an American sport the “world champions.” And it is clear that while Noah may be happy soaking in the mainstream glamour, the fandom remembers! But there were those who took it further.

One fan went on to write, “Noah thinks he’s faster than F1 cars haha.” While that sounds like a Noah Lyles line, he was there for a different reason. The love of speed! In fact, he is also a massive Lewis Hamilton fan, as Noah himself shared. In fact, Lyles does quite a few things just because he appreciates speed. He even went on to race YouTuber IShowSpeed in a friendly 50-meter dash. The confidence? Always there. The fans? Always divided!
Even as the criticism continued, fans couldn’t help but pour some love. A fan in complete awe of the moment went on to write, “Noah Lyles always so happy. They could never make me hate you.” That is huge, considering the months that Lyles has had. He won the 100m crown and then ended up being the epicenter of Jamaican hate. Then, it took a turn.

And then it worsened with Lyles’ relationship with Junelle gaining media traction! But despite it all, it seems like the world just can’t hate Lyles forever. Whether it’s his 100m sprint or 200m sprint, or even his love for the spotlight, the man is always unapologetically himself. And some fans are here for it! However, there is one big question that remains unanswered.
As another fan rightly puts it, “Is he eyeing a future in racing or just enjoying the speed?” For now, it’s all speculation. But if there’s one thing that the world knows about Noah Lyles, it’s that he loves to keep everyone guessing.
