Remember when Quincy Wilson turned heads at the 2024 Paris Olympics? Well, here’s a refresher, just in case! The 16-year-old etched his name in track and field history at Stade de France. The sprinter started off Team USA’s men’s 4x400m relay in the heats. However, he didn’t contest in the finals. Yet, his performance was enough to bag a medal, making him the youngest track star from the US to win a gold medal in the history of the Games. But another star struck gold in the French capital.
We’re obviously referring to none other than Quincy’s girlfriend’s sister, Masai Russell. The 24-year-old had an impressive rookie season this year. At the Olympic Trials, she scorched past the 100mH finish line in a personal time of 12.25 seconds. But here’s the kicker! This happened to be the fifth fastest in the history of the event. She replicated that same result in Paris as well! The hurdler clinched her maiden Olympic gold in her debut with 12.33 seconds on the clock. However, the duo has come together yet again for a fun collaboration. What could it be?

The athletes definitely left an indelible mark on the iconic purple tracks at Stade de France in their first-ever Games. Yet, their connection off the tracks left the track and field community pleasantly surprised. The 16-year-old caused a stir when he dropped pictures of his girlfriend, Solai Russell, Masai’s younger sister. In fact, on December 1, the trio was spotted at the Rod Wave concert. But wait! There’s more. Track Spice shared a few images and a video from their collaboration with RS Luxury Rentals.

The rental company is dedicated to providing luxury transportation and chauffeur services. The brand’s official Instagram account shared a video of the squad in one of their luxury rentals, captioned, “Transporting greatness: RS Luxury takes Masai, Quincy and friends to Rod Wave concert.”
Quincy Wilson, Masai, and Solai Russell seemed to be in great spirits, singing along to Turks & Caicos ft. 21 Savage on the way to the Rod Wave concert. The 16-year-old even posted two images and a few Instagram stories of himself and his girlfriend from their outing. The sprinter donned a black leather jacket, while Solai paired a colorful sweatshirt with a black jacket. The Olympic 100mH champion hyped them up by commenting, “😍😍😍 period.” So, how close is the 400m prodigy to the Russell family?
The Olympians have always been tied together by an invisible string
The track and field stars nearly crossed paths way before they made their Olympic debut. How so, you ask? Well, Masai Russell graduated from the Bullis School in Maryland in 2018. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? The 16-year-old recently concluded his sophomore year at the same school, and so did his girlfriend. In fact, the duo have always been childhood friends. Wilson even considers the Olympic champion his big sis.
After Masai Russell ran her final race at Alexis Ohanian’s Athlos, she called the race a catch-up for her to end her dreamy season. The hurdler earned a third-place finish with 12.44 seconds. Post this, she reflected on the season, calling it a dream, and reiterated that this was just a preview of what was coming next.

Quincy Wilson reposted it on his Instagram story, applauding his “big sis” for overcoming adversity. However, Dr. Sharon Russell, Solai and Masai’s mother, is just as enthralled by the prodigy. When the 16-year-old showed up to homecoming with Solai, Dr. Russell shared a montage of their night. In the heartfelt caption, she talks about how both are caring young souls and applauds the sprinter’s parents for raising the champion.
However, this wasn’t the first time Mama Russell gushed about the lovebirds. When Wilson asked Solai to be his date for homecoming, her mother couldn’t help but share the exciting news on Instagram. How did she do it? Dr. Russell shared a fun slideshow video showcasing Quincy wearing a shirt with the big question and Solai’s shirt with her answer. Since then, they have been on several outings, but this luxury deal definitely caught everyone’s eye.
