Following his triumph in Zurich, the 26-year-old American sprinter stated that he would be ending his 2023 season. Noah Lyles noted that he is tired from back-to-back contests. Several fans and spectators were deflated by the news. However, his latest tweet has dropped like a bombshell on track and field enthusiasts.

After his latest 200m triumph in Zurich, Lyles told the media,??I?m not going to lie. I?m pretty tired. It was a short turnaround, after less than a week of running.??However, the ace sprinter seems to have changed his mind. His latest tweet said,??You know what? I might have another 100m in me for the year.??

The news came immediately after Sha’Carri Richardson’s rumored boyfriend, Christian Coleman’s historic 100m performance in Xiamen, where he tied his timeframe with Lyles’ 9,83 seconds 100m Budapest victory. The stellar performance has greatly increased the stakes for Lyles’ next contest, as he will face another strong compatriot.

With the 100m WAC gold medal already in his pocket, Lyles will look forward to etching his name in history. The sprinter may return to Eugene, the ground where he has already won a World Championship medal. Everyone thought that Lyles would now move straight to Paris. However, this latest announcement induced thrill among his fandom, as they might witness Lyles once again in the field.
