The 2024 Paris Olympics are just 8 months away and every athlete is busy preparing for the games. In the midst of this, a celebrated US athlete has decided to end his longtime partnership with his training club. The decision comes after the beginning of the off-season?

Grant Fisher is a Canadian-born US distance runner who holds several national records. The 26-year-old recently announced an official end with the Bowerman Track Club sponsored by Nike. Fisher updated his fans about his decision via a social media post. The decision has shocked many, especially since he bagged the fifth position at last year?s Olympics with Nike.

Grant Fisher has been steadily making progress as an international athlete. The 26-year-old had joined the Bowerman Track Club right after graduating from Stanford. Nike noticed Fisher?s skill as he bagged 12 All-American honors at his university. Fisher took to Instagram and uploaded a post announcing his departure from the prestigious Bowerman Track Club.?

His post carried the caption,??Bowerman Track Club has been a huge and defining part of my life for the past four years. My time there has been transformative for me as an athlete and as a person, but I no longer see my best future being with the club moving forward.??The track and field athlete didn?t specify any clear reason for ending his ties with the club.

Fisher thanked everyone who was part of his journey. He also said that the people at the club during his four-year stay will be missed by him. While his decision comes as a shock, Fisher mentioned he is pretty excited about his move. The Bowerman Track Club wished Fisher for his future. In fact, it said that it was an honor to know someone as inspiring and humble as him.

According to the post shared by the Bowerman Club on Instagram,??Over the last four years, Grant Fisher has reminded us time and time again that the people we surround ourselves with make us into the athletes we are ? on and off the track.??The track and field club shared an adorable remark and said that it will always miss Fisher?s infectious smile.

Grant Fisher had an amazing time with his training club. He finished fifth in the 10,000-meter race at the Tokyo Olympics under Bowerman Track Club?s coach, Jerry Schumacher.

Fisher had started his 2023 season by breaking the 5000m North American indoor record at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational. Closing the season, he finished third in the 3000m race at the Eugene Diamond League. As Fisher starts a new chapter, his fans will look forward to his next triumphs.
