Track and field star Trevor Bassitt has made it to the men?s 400-meter hurdles semi-finals. The 25-year-old is competing at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Bassitt is one of the favorites for winning the hurdles contest this year.

Bassitt appeared for a short interview after his qualifying heat. The young track and field ace recently got married and was asked about his new married life. Bassitt blushingly opened up about his latest chapter in life alongside a world championship.

Trevor Bassitt is a rising ball of fire in the track and field world. The young hurdler has displayed his talents before the US and the world and has also won several medals. He was a part of the gold medal-winning 4 x 400m relay team at the 2022 World Athletics Championship. While he has already made a significant contribution in a team event, he came third in a singles race. Bassitt is all set to turn his bronze medal of 2022 into gold this year. The Ashland Eagles hurdler recently got married to Harlie Gregory. The young couple is yet to complete the first year of their marriage and is living happily.?

A news reporter from CNBC News approached the track and field champ after his qualifying run. Furthermore, the interviewer brought up the subject of his marriage later in the video. The young man blushingly said, ?Yeah, married life is awesome”. Bassitt further added that his wife, Harlie, has added a lot of value to his life. He said, ?Harlie, she?s my rock. She helps me so much, day in and day out.??The American hurdler also spoke about the rising level of competitiveness at the world championships. Bassitt acknowledged that hurdlers worldwide have grown more fierce and mean business.

Escalating speed, tenacity, and skill

Trevor Bassitt finished third in his qualifying heat for the semi-finals. Bassitt said that he came in third place despite beating the best qualifying time of 2022. The track and field ace said,??Last year, the fastest time going in round two was 48.74. I just went 48.73 and still came 3rd in my heat.??He admitted that all hurdlers are pushing beyond their limits this year, and everyone is going fast.?

The young star also said that while everyone was pushing hard, he still had more gas in his tank.??You wanna get the auto Q (qualified), but you don?t wanna overexert yourself,??he said. Bassitt acknowledged that he could have easily come in second place, but he chose not to. The track and field genius decided to conserve his stamina for the next two rounds. Trevor Bassitt is looking in top form this year. Bassitt has already hit gold in terms of marriage. He is just two races away from hitting the gold in Budapest.?
