It has barely been a month since the 2023 track and field season closed with the Eugene Diamond League. After taking a massively refreshing break in the off-season, Noah Lyles looks forward to going back on the tracks. Moreover, he doesn?t want to be the only one to make a return. According to a recent update, the 26-year-old has also summoned two fellow US sprinters to run along with him.

After clinching victories in 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Noah Lyles sets his sight on the 2024 World Athletics Relay championships. Interestingly, as he is all girded up to make his mark on the tracks of Bahamas, he urged his compatriots to break the 4x200m world record.

Noah Lyles dials home support to take on international tournament

Noah Lyles enjoyed an outstanding 2023 season. The young sprinting star astonished everyone at the World Athletics Championship in August when he claimed three back-to-back gold medals. Now, as he concluded the season at the 2023 Prefontaine Classic, Noah Lyles now looks forward to clinch many accolades in the 2024 season. On the same note, he recently posted a tweet on his official X account, expressing his zeal for the 2024 World Athletics Relay Championships.

The tweet carried the visual representing the World Athletics Relays in the Bahamas, 2024. The caption read ?Yo @ErriyonK @kenny_bednarek we should go break that 4x200m world record.??

The 26-year-old called for the help of his teammates Erriyon Knighton and Kenny Bednarek to take on the prestigious event. Noah Lyles had led Team USA to a staunch world championship victory in Budapest in the 4x100m race. Now, Lyles aims to do the same in the 4x200m relay in Bahamas.?

 

The current world record for the 4x200m men?s race is 1:18.63, posted by Jamaica in 2014. On the other hand, the US has the second position with 1:18.68, but this run dates back to 1994.?

Lyles incredible feat on the tracks fo Budapest

Noah Lyles had taken on the 4x100m relay race along with Fred Kerley, Christian Coleman, and Brandon Carnes at the 2023 World Athletics Championships. Coleman started first and toom the lead by handing the baton to Carnes. Carnes opened up the narrowest of leads to hand off to Lyles, who made victory with a strong final leg, taking the US team acorss theline in a world-leading 37.38 seconds.?

Interestingly, the sprinter, along with Erriyon Knighton and Kenny Bednarek is all set to frame another incredible time record to win the 4x200m relay on the tracks of Bahamas. Just a month after closing the 2023 season, Lyles is all set to add another triumph on his wall of fame.
