The beginning of Noah Lyles and Josephus Lyles

Noah Lyles has already conquered the tracks of Budapest and made a clean sweep of all its gold. The victories at the Hungarian capital marked his third World Championship win after Doha and Eugene. However, there was a time when Noah and Josephus just dreamed of achieving greatness. According to Josephus, Noah faced a lot of problems getting through school because of dyslexia. Josephus, however, didn?t face these problems and was very adept at traditional learning. Despite this difference, the brothers were united by the love of track and field. Both of them decided to go pro together when they watched the amazing athletic displays at the 2012 London Olympics.

Unlike Noah Lyles, however, Josephus had parted ways with the track in between. The younger Lyles joined his elder brother once again and both trained together. Despite the same routine and training regime, Josephus found himself lagging behind as Noah Lyles won medal after medal. Josephus said that this difference affected him greatly, especially after his injury before Doha WAC. Josephus found his peace later, after facing a little mental downfall and introspecting why he is in track and field. The younger Lyles is running with the philosophy of running as fast as he can just because he enjoys it. The change of perspective allows him to give his best without sinking to the pitfall of brotherly comparison. It won?t be long till Noah Lyles will have to worry about Josephus along with Erriyon Knighton and Christian Coleman.
