Birthday is a special occasion for probably all of us, and it also calls for celebrations. It marks a day of get-togethers and reunions of friends and family. Elaine Thompson-Herah, too, celebrated her birthday recently.

The sprinter celebrates her birthday on June 28. This year, Thompson-Herah tweeted on her social media platform following her 30th birthday.

Netizens cannot seem to have enough of the picture she posted on Twitter. In the photograph, the fastest woman alive donned a yellow flowy gown and a pair of sneakers. Soon after she posted the tweet, wishes and praises started to pour in.

Thompson-Herah captioned the tweet, ?Talk Thirty To Me.? It has garnered over 11k likes and 949 retweets in over 24 hours. Most people had positive reactions to the gown and sneaker combination.

One follower said, “Happy birthday Elaine. Absolutely gorgeous. Love the fashion statement. Continue to trust God.”

Another tweeted, “I love everything about this.”

But the praises did not stop at that. A Twitter user added, “A strong on resilient woman who always shine no matter the obstacle #iloveyou.”

Meanwhile, another posted, “Happy birthday Girl. Blessings and more life zeen. Big up yourself. Wishing you many more happy returns.”

However, some pointed out that the sneakers looked out of place, while others were confused about the outfit. Although negative reactions were few and far between, people came to the sprinter?s rescue upon seeing one. Netizens and fans of the sprinter were unwilling to have trolls ruin her birthday post.

The achievements of the fastest woman alive

Thompson-Herah currently holds the fastest woman alive title. She recorded the second-fastest time of 10.54s in the history of the 100m event at the 2021 Prefontaine Classic. The time is bested only by Florence Griffith Joyner?s controversial 10.49s time during the quarterfinals at the Olympic trials in 1988.

She continued her winning streak well into the 2022 season. Although the Jamaican sprinter had to withdraw from the Birmingham Diamond League after experiencing discomfort during training, she returned at the 2022 Prefontaine Classic to sweep a clean victory at the 100m with 10.79s.
