A strike has transpired in the Hollywood film industry, where the actors and writers joined forces this Friday. Since 1960, this is the first time two unions have led a protest simultaneously. The protest is to make a wide shutdown on some of the giant studios and entertainment platforms: Netflix, Disney, and Amazon. It is prompted by a row of issues, including the pay and Artificial Intelligence impact on streaming services in these studios.

The Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation Of Television and Radio Artists ( SAG-AFTRA) failed to conclude an agreement about a fairer split of the profit with the studios and the increased shielding of AI rights. Inspired by such solidarity in Hollywood Industry, the sprinting queen, Sha’Carri Richardson made a bold statement about the athletics industry and athlete rights. The athlete issues have been going on for a while now and Richardson never fails to amaze her fans by speaking up on such topics.
