In their largely awaited swimming marathon, RSD raised over$ 60,000, according to a local press release. More than 200 swimmers bravely jumped into the challenge and covered a remarkable distance together. Across raising support, group interest, and distance classes, praises were offered. Swim Across America, a non-profit organization, raises funds for cancer research through charity swims, donating over $100 million to hospitals. Their mission aligns with the inspiring achievements of the Rancho San Dieguito Swim Team.

The funds raised will also enable thorough staff training to maintain the competitive edge of the RSD Swim Team. The RSD Swim Team thrives under the shrewd direction of Aquatics Director and Head Coach Joe Benjamin. He is an Olympic trial qualifier himself. Since 2012, the team has consistently received USA Swimming Club Excellence recognition. Since 2000, it has also produced an amazing 14 Olympic trial swimmers.
With the help of multiple prosperous fundraising efforts, Benjamin’s inspiring leadership has encouraged outstanding growth. It is taking the Aquatics program from a modest 30 members to a spectacular 500. Heartfelt feelings were expressed by Marineke Vandervort, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito, highlighting the crucial importance of Swim-a-Thon. It also highlighted related programs in maintaining the Aquatics Centre as a treasured center of community spirit and support.
