“Tough and Frustrating at Times”: Helpless Michael Phelps Gave His Honest Opinion on Donald Trump’s Administration Back in 2018

Nicknamed the flying fish, Michael Phelps left his footprints in the history of swimming. Swimming is an exhausting sport and requires a lot of hard work and effort. Although Phelps made it look easy-breezy, it took him several years of continuous practice with dedication. Probably every swimming enthusiast looks up to him not only because of his skills but his personality as well.

A few years ago, when America was running under the Donald Trump administration Michael Phelps was invited for an interview. There, the athlete spoke about a few problems, both environmental and administrational. 

What does Michael Phelps have to say about the Trump administration?

Back in 2018, the athlete fathered two kids, both sons. It was the era of Trump’s administration, and the swimmer gave his views about the same in an interview.

The interviewee asked him if he was worried about how things were going in the country then. Given the fact that he had two growing kids, Phelps kept his view on the table. “It is tough and frustrating at times, but we can’t control that. I can’t go down to the White House, knock on the president’s door and say, ‘You’ve got to change this’. It’s not going to happen,” said the swimming G.O.A.T.

Regardless of whatever he felt was right or wrong, he knew that nobody could change it in a go. Moreover, Phelps believes that change is the only constant. So no matter what, things will change again, and so probably the rules too. 

Phelps shares his secret to a peaceful life 

The 23-time gold medalist revealed that numerous things frustrate him. Nevertheless, he and his partner have the key to a peaceful life. According to Phelps, they only focus on themselves and things that have something to do with them. They apply this secret in their day-to-day life and keep it simple. 

“There are a lot of things that are frustrating about the world we live in today, and Nicole and I are always two people who try to stay in our lane, focus on what we have to do, and what we have to do with our kids,” added the athlete.

Given the athlete’s sorted persona, it’s not surprising that he came up with such a short yet effective solution.
