An enchanting pink river Dolphin made last week’s Wednesday indelible. It graced the vicinity of Old River Pass near Cameron Parish, Louisiana. Apparently, Thurman Gustin, a resident who was engaged in his own fishing activities along the river, was amazed to spot this unique water creature delighting in the tranquil waters. As the elegant presence of this remarkable pink creature was gracefully navigating the currents. Eager to share the awe-inspiring encounter, Gustin took a video capturing the majestic scene, which he promptly shared on a Facebook group dedicated to fishing enthusiasts.
The footage depicted the rare pink river dolphin serenely swimming near Gustin’s boat, not far from the picturesque Texas shoreline of the river. While talking about the rare spotting, Gustin in an interview with Fox stated, “I stopped and started recording on my phone. I have never seen anything like it and just wanted to save the memories.” Furthermore, the Houston man also claims to have spotted two of these unique animals in the water.
According to a charity dedicated to dolphins and whale conservation, the dolphin can belong to either the albino bottlenose species found in the fresh waters of South America or the Pacific humpback dolphin, both of which are rare to be found near such waters. Yet, many people still suggest that it was a dolphin named, ?Pinky,? after its colour. As ?Pinky? had been spotted several times before in Louisiana waters. Recognized by her red eyes, a boat captain, Erik Rue was the first person to catch sight of Pinky in the Calcasieu River of Louisiana in 2007. And they are usually recognized by her red eyes.
