What? An athlete who acts? No, this article is not related to football. Lochte was once appreciated by actress Sharon Stone, not for his on-field acting but for his on-screen acting.
Ryan’s Hollywood debut
The year 2016 wasn’t the brightest year for Lochte. With the debacle in Rio, Lochte went through a series of unfortunate events that year. However, the good news that came at that time was Lochte’s Hollywood debut. Lochte made his Hollywood debut in a supporting role opposite actress, Sharon Stone. The shoot for the 2017 film, Little Something for Your Birthday, began in 2016. While meeting the press while participating in the DWTS, Lochte opened up about his first acting gig.
Lochte shared that initially he was nervous and couldn’t remember his lines, but slowly got the hang of it. While he couldn’t share many details about the scene, he shared Sharon’s reaction to his performance. Lochte told extratv, “In the first take we were like…I didn’t really know my lines right…but then we the morning we did it like she was like oh my God that was so funny, you’re a natural like you have a career in this.”
Lochte further shared that he didn’t believe Sharon’s word at first. He had asked her if she meant what she said. However, when the actress reassured him that he actually did well, ‘The Lochtenator’ was overjoyed.

Ryan Lochte at ‘Dance With The Stars
In the year 2016, before bagging the movie role, Lochte appeared in the dance competition television series. He participated in the 23rd season was the show with professional dancer Cheryl Burke as his partner. The audience was thrilled, watching the swimmer tap his feet on the dance floor. However, the duo was eliminated in the 8th week of the competition. With that, they finished in the 7th spot.
Currently, Lochte holds the world record in the 200m individual medley–long course, which he set at the 2011 World Championships. He also holds the world record in the 200m individual medley–short course, having created that in the 2012 SC World Championships.
