Dylan Carter is one of the most talented swimmers and that is proved in almost all of his performances and records. He is the Trinidad and Tobago record holder in the long course and short course 100-meter freestyle, 50-meter backstroke, 100-meter backstroke, 50-meter butterfly, and 200-meter butterfly. Ther are multiple other records that he has bagged for himself in his entire swimming career. After his presence at the 2023 World Cup, the World Aquatics has shared a conversation with the swimmer to enlighten others with some words of wisdom.

The World Aquatics shared a clip of the conversation with Carter on their X account. The swimmer was heard talking about his past experiences, his pressure, his intentions in the current course of time. Starting the conversation, he said that he always loves being at the Swimming World Cup and it’s a big honor for him. He spoke about the pressure he feels in the World Cup and while performing in any competition, he stated, “It’s a bit of a pressure, but pressure is a privilege and I think I have worked hard to get to this point.”
He further added, “I am honored to have that pressure.” Talking about his current mindset with the world cup, he stated that he is here to let it go and have a good time. He had his eyes set on winning until last year, but right now he appreciates the challenge. He spoke about the athletes, “There’s good athletes here, but you also are mixing and mingling and having a good time and making friendships.” He shared this piece of his heart seven days after standing on a tie with Michael Andrew.

The tie between Michael Andrew and Dylan Carter
On day 3 of leg 1 of the swimming world cup, Michael Andrew once again faced a situation with his ‘tie-finish’ rival. They ended up in a tie in the 50-meter butterfly event. Both the athletes attained the second position with a time of 23.17 and with this, both of them gained 887 points. In this event, the Australian swimmer Ben Armbruster clinched gold by finishing the race in winning time of 23.08.

A tie between the two swimmers came only months after they were standing in the same situation. They shared the first position at the TYR Pro Series in Fort Lauderdale. In the 50m fly, both the swimmers clinched gold by touching the finish line in 23.33 seconds.
