Paris Olympics 2024 is just a year away. Most athletes are already in their last leg of preparations for the most prestigious tournament scheduled in the French capital next year. In today’s world, where dreams are met with scepticism more often than not, one individual aspires to achieve all her goals.
With Paris 2024 on the horizon, young swimming champion Stephanie Iannaccone has set her sight on the Olympics. Stephanie wields an immense passion for her sport and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Being a champion does not come easy and for Stephanie, that meant competing from a fairly young age.
Stephanie Iannaccone loves to compete

Stephanie is the youngest of 5 siblings. She believes that growing up in a household along with 4 brothers definitely made her competitive. Born in a sporting family, the young swimming champion is grateful for her father always supporting her and her siblings with sports. According to KTVU Iannaccone said,?“I did rec swim. My whole family, like my brothers and I did recreational swim for a while, and then I switched over to year-round swim?I think at 11 or 12.”??Stephanie has been passionate about the sport her whole life and enjoyed dancing as well. But her love for the water ultimately made her pick swimming as her preferred sport.
Iannaccone is a true champion of her sport. Just last year, the young swimmer became the Outstanding Swimmer in the Pacific Swimming Long Course. The swimmer, who ranks 13th in California works extremely hard towards her goals and said, “I always have goals for myself, and I like just accomplishing those goals and just going in the pool and training every single day to get in and accomplish those goals.”?One of her career goals is to represent her mother’s country, Guatemala.

Stephanie’s plans for the future
Stephanie Innaccone, along with her twin brother and mother, has a dual citizenship. For this very reason, she wishes to be a part of the Guatemalan team. The Carondelet High School graduate has also secured a place on the prestigious Harvard University’s varsity swimming team. She believes that she could not have made it without the support and strength of her family and all of her coaches. Come fall, Innaccone will be working harder than ever, charting her own course, with an eye on the Olympic podium.

The budding icon feels extremely supported by her family and credits her father in particular for always pushing her to become better. The young state champion looks forward to her next chapter in life and to achieve her ultimate dream – an Olympic spot on the Guatemalan team.
