Sarah Sjostrom is one individual who has 21 world titles under her belt in a very long-course championship. Her historic display of speed and skill at the 50-meter butterfly event helped her clinch a 23.69. At Doha World, she added one more accolade to her list of titles. Recently, the Instagram page of World Aquatics released a video where all the champions shared a small section of their interview. Sjostrom revealed a secret about her motivation, which pushed her towards the medal. The video was captioned, “Don’t miss one last time some exclusive interviews with the swimming sensations from day 17 at the World Championships in Doha. “

In the video, she said, “It was a lot of pressure with all the two girls also being in the 24 seconds.” Continuing that, she added, “So it gives me the confidence coming up to Paris that I can handle all kinds of pressure and still do a good race.” Thus, the influence of Galentine fell a bit differently on her, as she was happy to have Douglass and Wasick by her side. Both the girls acted as a competition but motivated Sjostrom at the same time.
The 30-year-old also gave a sneak peek at a special commitment before diving into the pool. The moment of the occasion was celebrated immensely as her fans and fellow swimmers got to know about her marriage. But that’s not the only thing that she has to prepare for, as the athlete is set to conquer the Paris Olympics as well.

Road to Paris Olympics paved for Sarah Sjostrom
Her performance at the Doha not only took Sjostrom to the global level, but also set her as a daunting challenge in the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. While speaking about Sjostrom’s track record, her debut at the 2009 World Championship stands high up in the rank score. There, she captured the butterfly title under 100 meters at the age of 15 years old.

Next comes her dominating show at the Rio 2016 Olympics, where she claimed gold in the 100 fly, followed by a silver medal in the 200m freestyle, and lastly, a bronze in the 100 free all to herself.
