Retirement has never looked better for Phelps. As, former legend Michael Phelps celebrated his 38th birthday on a sunny day with friends and family.  Michael Phelps’ wife, Nicole Johnson, shares a few glimpses of the cozy party with fans.

Phelps married Nicole Johnson, a former Miss California on June 13, 2016, in a private wedding. The adorable couple have been together since then and also have three sons together: Boomer, Beckett, and Maverick. Nicole Johnson also keeps the Phelps fans updated regarding the family. Recently, Nicole shared the 38th birthday party pictures of Michael Phelps on social media.

On July 2nd, Nicole Johnson took to Instagram to share some photos of Michael Phelps, including the 38th birthday party photos, with the caption “38 looks good on you.” Nicole Johnson added “I can’t wait to see what your next trip around the sun gives us in life” while tagging the athlete. In the pictures, Phelps was hanging out with his sons. And in a few pictures, Michael Phelps celebrated his birthday on a golf course with his wife and friends while showcasing his cake. Later, the athlete had a second birthday party with his family as his sons carried the birthday cake in an adorable video. Phleps was seen recording the memory as he gushes over his sons.

On June 30, the legendary swimmer turned 38, making it his seventh year of retirement. Although Phelps has retired from swimming, he has developed a few interesting hobbies since then including a passion for a new sport.

Phelps’s life after retirement

22-time medal winner legend Phelps retired in 2016 after the Rio Olympics but made a comeback in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. However, now Michael Phelps has said goodbye to competitive swimming. After retirement, the athlete has developed a keen interest in another sport, golf. Phelps participated in many golf tournaments as well. Phelps even holds a record in golf; in the 2012 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Phelps set the record for longest recorded putt at 159 feet away. Phelps was accompanied by Paul Casey, a LIV golf member, for the match. Besides sports, Michael Phelps set up a few business ventures. Before retirement in 2011, an Xbox game was released; however, the game did not reach a high rate of success. Phelps, along with his wife, has also launched a foundation to promote water safety and teach swimming to underprivileged children.

Although Michael Phelps has said goodbye to swimming, it’s nice to see him promoting water safety and exploring other sports as well. Fans are excited to see what will be Phelp’s next adventure now.
