The entire swimming community is stunned by the Australian swimmer Kaylee Mckeown. Her performances in the Swimming World Cup 2023 as been nothing short of impressive. Her consecutive wins and smooth record-breaking showdowns have made her one of the finest swimmers in the community. She first ruled in Leg 1 of the World Cup in Berlin attaining the first position beside Qin Haiyang. Now, she is in the process of bagging the win in leg 2 of the competition.

On day 3 of Athens, she clinched the gold in the 400m medley, however, her next race didn’t go as expected. Mckeown who is known as the best swimmer when it comes to backstroke was left behind by another American swimmer. Surpassing the expectations of all the spectators, Katie Grimes despite running out of breath went ahead and grabbed the win.

Kaylee Mckeown has attained a spectacular number of wins in the backstroke from the very first day of the 2023 World Cup. She had the intention of defending her wins, however, Katie Grimes faced a blast of energy on day 3 of Athens in the 200 m backstroke and left the Australian backstroke phenom behind. This race was a terrific showdown between the two swimmers. It was one of the tightest races witnessed by Athens in the World Cup.

Grimes jumping from lane 5 and Mckeown from lane 4 started the terrific competition. According to the World Aquatics, the Australian started with a lead, however, Grimes with all her skills and extreme efforts took the lead even though she was running out of breath. She clinched gold in the 200m backstroke in a time of 2:11.32.

Mckeown on the other hand attained the second position with a time of 2:11.83. Following the Australian swimmer was Kaylie Masse representing Canada with a time of 2:12.72. In the fourth position was Emma Godwin from New Zealand with a time of 2:13.03.

This terrific performance was one of the most wonderful wins for Grimes as she took out the backstroke expert with her dedication. Kaylee Mckeown on the other hand, with her records and just the right skills will again nab the win in her upcoming races just like she did 30 minutes ago of this race in the 400m Medley by clinching gold.

Kaylee Mckeown has raised the Australian flag high with her exceptional performances at the Swimming World Cup 2023. With her magnificent portrayal of skills, she has raised the bar high for almost every swimmer out there. From Day 1 in Berlin to Day 3 at Athens, Mckeown has made sure to leave her mark in almost every race she has been a part of. This backstroke expert has left the swimming world stunned with her phenomenal stroke skills.

Not just this, her world records have created a different fan base this year in the Cups. On Day 2 of Athens, this 22-year-old world record holder bagged a wonderful win in the 100 backstroke with a winning time of 57.63. With this win, she was also just a tenth of a second away from her winning time at the World Championships which was 57.53.

In this process, she lowered her own World Cup record of 57.95 from leg 1 of the competition. She was the only swimmer in this race to get to the finish line in under a minute in the finals.
