A few years ago, Tajh Boyd spoke to The Athletic about the star swimmer and how well he fits with swimming. Furthermore, he also mentioned the team’s then-freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence and how he valued him too.

In 2019, Tajh’s team Clemson Tigers went up for the College Football Playoff National Championship. The match was against Alabama and ended with the Tigers taking home the trophy with a score of 44-16.

That is when Tajh Boyd talked about Michael Phelps and Trevor Lawrence. He focused on how excellent they both have been in their respective sport. “Michael Phelps was literally born to swim,” said Tajh to The Athletic. “The kid got webbed feet, the whole thing. Short trunk. Tall torso. He’s built for it. I said whatever Michael Phelps is to swimming, Trevor Lawrence is to throwing a football.“
Trevor Lawrence, a freshman then, showcased his talent very well; he also gained the title of Offensive MVP of the game. Besides that, he received several awards for his breathtaking performance.
Phelps remembers his first gold medal
Michael Phelps started his Olympics journey when he was only 15. His first Olympics was the 2000 Sydney Olympics, where he couldn’t take home any gold. Four years later, Phelps received his first Olympic gold medal in the 400m individual medley in Athens.

Recently, the athlete shared a video of that year reminiscing about his first milestone. Apart from that, with his time of 4:08.26, he also broke the world record.
