Day 1 of leg 3 of the Swimming World Cup 2023 has ended and it could not have a more beautiful ending. The Australian swimmer Kaylee McKeown shined bright at Budapest on the opening day of the competition. She has been giving terrific performances since day 1 of the World Cup and has continued doing so till the last leg. Her performances in this year’s world cup are without a doubt of an elite athlete.

With her incredible triple win at the backstroke, she earned the crown and a bonus of $10,000. McKeown set a new world record in this competition and stunned the entire community. It is a matter of great pride to witness such a terrific performance at 22 years of age, especially for her family. One of her family members praising Kaylee shared a heartfelt note on social media that left the audience in awe.

With the World Cup reaching its final stage in Hungary, the athletes have started with their extraordinary performances. One of record-breaking performances ?among this was of the backstroke phenom Kaylee Mckeown. Her unbelievable record in all three stops in 50-, 100- and 200-meter backstroke has stunned the entire community. It is absolutely safe to say that this is the proudest moment for a 22-year-old and it’s extra special for her family.

Mckeown’s elder sister Taylor McKeown shared a heartwarming note on her Instagram story that portrayed her pride. Thrilled with Kaylee’s performance, her sister wrote, “Got woken up with the best news ever. @kaylee_mckeown? just broke the 50m backstroke? world record.”?She further added, “So proud! This is huge. She now has the world record in all backstroke distances. First person to own the WR in the 50, 100 and 200! Just wild.”?

This is the support that keeps the swimmer going. Not just this, she also shared several videos of Kaylee making the record. Her family is a big support in everything she does and pushes her to do well. This is one of the reasons behind the backstroke queen making unmatchable new records.

Kaylee Mckeown’s tremendous performance in the backstroke

From day 1 of Germany to day 1 of Hungary, Kaylee McKeown absolutely ruled the Swimming World Cup 2023. She has set the bar high for all the swimmers with her extraordinary performances. She is the only swimmer to have made the world record in all three backstrokes. In the second leg of the competition, the swimmer clinched gold and made a new world record in the 50m backstroke event. Following her were Canadian swimmers Kylie Masse and Ingrid Wilm who were standing in the second and third positions. McKeown in this clocked a time of 27.02.

During leg 1 as well, the swimmer won this event and managed to set a new world record with a time of 27.24. In Hungary, the Australian swimmer held her ground and beautifully defended the title by making another new world record and clinching gold once again. Here, she nabbed the victory by clocking a time of 26.86. After such beautiful performances, the swimming world is now looking forward to her performance in the Paris Olympics 2024.
