Similarly, after being seen wearing a University of Alabama swimming t-shirt, another picture emerged where Buffett is seen wearing a Georgia Swimming T-shirt.
According to Swim Swam, this image is from the inside cover of Buffett’s 9th studio album, Volcano. The album contains a plethora of candid pictures of Buffett and his friends. It also includes a picture of a Georgia Swimming T-shirt. This image of the late legend sparked numerous curiosities and received much love. Georgia swimming fixture Alex Braunfeld made arrangements to help uncover the story.
The story behind Jimmy Buffett’s resurfaced picture
Since Buffett’s passing, a multitude of stories, pictures, and other heartfelt gestures have inundated the internet, and this picture was one of the results. When Braunfeld contacted the long-time assistant and program alum, Harvey Humphries, to learn the whole story, Harvey recounted that it took place in 1979 when he was still in school. He was sent to run an errand by the coach and happened to see Buffett rehearsing for his upcoming concert. Following that, some guys went and sat in the first few rows.

They were warmly welcomed to watch him sing. Meanwhile, Buffett was wearing a Florida baseball shirt, to which the swimmers chanted, “Florida sucks.” Jimmy stated that he would wear a UGA shirt, but he didn’t have one. Following this, one of the swimmers took off his Georgia swimming t-shirt and threw it up to him. So, the whole t-shirt story was yet another example of his love for his fans.

Buffett is frequently seen wearing t-shirts like this. There’s another rumor of him wearing a University of Florida swimming shirt, although the picture of it has yet to be found. He was an exemplary personality with immense love for his fans and friends.
