Interestingly, the only defeat she faced in this event was when she was just 13 years old and was defeated by a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old at the 2010 Potomac Valley Championships in Maryland.

Her accolades this year speak for itself. She broke her own 1650-yard free U.S. Open Record and swam the 3rd fastest all-time 800 and 1500 free.
