24-year-old, Katie Ledecky has become a swimming sensation with her incredible Olympic glories. Ledecky has ten Olympic medals under her belt, notably, seven of them are gold.
After her three Olympic innings, Katie has attracted some top brands to her sponsor’s list. While it’s her swimming talent that attracts the global brands, Katie also maintains a strong bond with them, to create relationships for the long term.

Katie Ledecky spills beans on winning sponsors
The swimming star, Katie Ledecky, attended Adweek’s Brandweek: Sports Marketing Summit. Katie revealed how she has established herself as an authentic brand ambassador. Ledecky said trust is always an important factor in brand relationships.

Katie said, “The swimwear brand that I represent is TYR… I really trust them. When working with brands, make sure to invest time and energy into relationship building with the people there. It’s not about the partnerships, it’s about the people, and I’ve gotten the chance to work with so many great people behind the brand.”
She further added, “They’re all authentic partners. They’re brands that I’ve used through the years. For example, I had an American Girl doll growing up—I had Molly. So it was really exciting when I got to see the Team USA swimsuit set they made for American Girl dolls.”
Katie has been sponsored by top global brands like TYR, Panasonic, Adidas, and Visa.

Katie had to change her approach during the pandemic
Ledecky clinched four Olympic medals in her third innings, at Tokyo Olympics 2020. Before the Tokyo Olympics, a lot of brands had a vision for the 2020 mega-events; however, the games were postponed because of the pandemic.

Katie then had to change her approach as the world went into quarantine. Katie said, ”We had to be ready to adapt, and I was able to do that by working through some virtual events … which was actually a really interesting and fun process to get to know the brands better.”

In 2021, Katie has a net worth of $4 million, and as she goes forward on her journey, her net worth is going to rise tremendously.
