Ever since he retired from the sport of swimming, Phelps’ antics with golf clubs are well understood. Thus, in an incredible game of golf, the famous president defeated not one but three stars on the golf course. It just became a sensational day for everyone involved.
Michael Phelps loses money to Obama
Anderson spoke highly about the president’s antics on the golf course. From legendary trash talks to opening up with great drives, the actor described the golfing skills of the former president. “[Obama] talked trash all day and took all of our money. He’s a great golfer, man. Doesn’t hit the ball long off the tee, but he’s straight as an arrow, man, 220, 230 yards every time,” said Anderson.

With everyone on the field, they exchanged some of the most iconic verses on a golf course. With Obama now a civilian, he showcased his humility and the ability to lead a normal life, after being the president of his country.
“He took $700 from Phelps. He took $600 from Chris Paul. He took $300 from me. I was like, man, is this even right? Can you take money from civilians? He was like, ‘Anthony, I’m a civilian now, so, yes, I can take it,” mentioned Anderson on how the president blew their minds away.
Phelps’ love for golf
It is just one of those stories that make you sit up and applaud the greatness. However, this might be a one-off with Phelps’ dominance with a club. Once, he made the record for the longest televised putt of 159 feet on television and showcased his golfing skills. The ability to become a superstar in two different sports is just an incredible achievement. Hence, his loss to Obama is a tough one to take.

Irrespective of that, it is just brilliant to see the four icons playing golf together. For many a time, Obama has shown he is not an ordinary president. The ability to connect well with pop culture is a great compliment. As for Phelps, he can hopefully claim his money back with yet another game with the former president.
