Olympic gold medalists Allison Schmitt and Michael Phelps talked about the future in an interview for USA Swimming’s Race for Gold. The duo can be seen discussing their plans. When asked about Allison’s performance, Michael said, “I have seen a lot of tears and a lot of smiles as well.” He further adds, “I have seen her at absolute and best and absolute worst.“

When Allison Schmitt was asked whether or not she listens to his feedback, the latter affectionately replied, “No, of course, I always welcome it. I look up to him so much ever since I moved.” Throwing light on their bond, she said, “Friendship has really grown.”

Michael was also the first Olympian to take home four gold medals from the same event back-to-back in the Olympics. The swimmer’s career included 39 world records, which is significant and a record in itself.
