When Michael Phelps won record eight gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, everybody was spellbound. However, achieving such a feat was not a result of a month’s or a year’s preparation. It was hard work and the dedication of a lifetime. He gave his entire life to the sport and became what no one would have thought was ever possible.
What does Joe Rogan think about Michael Phelps?
The first word that comes to mind when you hear the name Michael Phelps is ‘greatness.’ Even the podcaster Joe Rogan can’t deny the fact that he is the greatest swimmer of all time. Though Joe has a slightly different opinion about what it takes to be a swimming legend.
In one of his podcasts referring to Phelps, Joe said, “He is a beast. You have to have an insanely powerful mind to be able to do something that everybody can do, like swim and do it faster than anybody ever. You got to be a fu****g real, super-focused psycho. I don’t mean psycho in a bad way.”
Well, maybe Joe has described the legend aptly. He is indeed the living embodiment of super-focused hard work and perseverance.
