Michael Phelps shuts down speculation about his return
It’s always tempting to get back into the sport you have dominated for so long. Even the greats like Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, and of course, Michael Phelps couldn’t resist it. However, now that Phelps is happily retired for 6 years, he opens up about why he will never return.
He said, “I don’t wanna do it anymore. We saw what competing at the highest level for a long extended period of time does to you. The competitiveness that’s what I love the most. Taking a dig at NFL legend Tom Brady, Michael added, “I mean, look at Brady. Brady was retired for two weeks, for literally less than two weeks. I at least lasted two years.”
