Growing up, Boomer, Beckett, and Maverick will have a lot to prove. After all, they are sons of the most decorated swimmer of all time, Michael Phelps. However, there’s still time for them to carry forward their dad’s legacy. For now, all they can do is cheer for their dad as he gets inducted into the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Hall of Fame, which is exactly what they are doing.

It’s hard to say whether all three boys understand the gravity of the fact that their father, Michael Phelps, is a swimming G.O.A.T. However, someday when they are old enough to truly understand it, their bond with him would be that much more meaningful. But will that make them feel overwhelmed by their father’s legacy? Or will it be something that will fuel their motivation for the rest of their lives?

Boomer, Beckett, and Maverick suit up to support their dad for the big day

Michael was among the elite group of athletes who were inducted into the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Hall of Fame, and his three sons were there to support him on this special day. The swimming legend shared the picture of his sons all dressed up in matching suits and shoes at the event on his Instagram story and wrote, “My little homies.”

While their mother Nicole shared another picture of them with the caption “when your daddy gets inducted.” Seems like the Phelps family had a great outing at the induction ceremony.

What did Michael Phelps say at the ceremony?

Clearly, it was a special occasion, and Michael came prepared. However, instead of talking about his legacy and his career, he raised awareness regarding the burning issue of mental health. He said, “Where we are in the world? And as you heard from Mike, my biggest journey now is the mental health world.”

It is clear from his stance that Phelps has now embarked upon a new journey. And that journey is mental health and the stigma surrounding it, and he seems adamant about changing the world for the better.
