Heading to the 2024 Paris Olympics, the team from down under will look to dominate the Games.
Winning the gold medal was important for her confidence, and Mollie spoke humbly about improving her future races. “It’s still sinking in, I have a lot to improve. This is just the beginning. It’s more of the fact I’m just learning, each race is a different race,” said O’Callaghan, who looked thrilled. She continued, “It’s pretty cool, I’m just trying new things. It’s been amazing so far.”
She also appreciated the support she received when she was mentally down. Looking like the real deal, Mollie hopes to bring more glory to her nation.

Born-winner
O’Callaghan rose to fame at the 2022 World Championships. After winning the 100-meter freestyle, she claimed silver for the 200-meter as China’s Yang Junxuan took home the gold. Apart from these individual medals, she claimed two gold and two silver medals for the relay events. She won two gold and one bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, looking like a strong contender for the future. Just 18, it is just a matter of time before she dominates the circuit.
In a few years, this Australian prodigy can rise to the top. Mollie established herself as one of the fastest swimmers in the world in recent competitions. If at all she adds more events to her name, she might be able to challenge Michael Phelps and equal his eight gold medals in the future. Well, it is not a straightforward task. Do you think she can?
