Just a month ago, the World Surf League was under heavy fire from several fans and surfers. People were fuming about the judging at Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch. Another issue that didn’t sit right with many fans was the concept of artificial waves. These technologically produced waves in artificial pools were always perfect. Critics and fans argued that this is a huge setback and a disrespect for surfing, as the unpredictable nature of the waves makes surfing so great.
Logan, being the mouthpiece of the World Surf League, defended the League as well as the decision-making prowess of the judges appointed by the League, which put him right at the center of all the heat.
