“Eats Surfer and Boils Crazy”: Terrifying Clip of Nathan Florence’s Brother Getting Wiped Out Raises Concerns

Siblings in the world of sports are not a rare sight, but not all of them are as well known as the Florence Brothers. The Florence Brothers are professional surfers hailing from the spectacular Hawaiian islands. While these three brothers enjoy a lot of fame and social media presence as a trio, all three have their own quirks. John John is the eldest of the three and has won consecutive WSL championships in 2016 and 2017. Nathan is the middle child who has blended his charming personality and his surfing skills to become a popular YouTuber. However, Ivan, the youngest of the Florence brothers keeps a low profile. 

While he isn’t as loud or dominant as his brothers, Ivan isn’t a hermit. In fact, out of the three, Ivan has been nicknamed ‘Mr. Cool’ by admirers of the Florence Brothers. Mr. Cool is as brilliant a surfer as his brothers, however, he recently got engulfed by a terrifying giant wave, and the incident was caught on camera. It instantly became a cause of concern for their YouTube fans.

Fans Show Concern for Ivan Florence

Ivan is a professional surfer with a calm and determined approach to the waves. While he may seem reserved and withheld from a distance, he is constantly cruising toward his objectives with both efficiency and accuracy. He is also an official brand ambassador of the VansSurf apparel line. While he’s a master in the ocean, he is a great jack of all trades when on solid ground.

The video in question showcased Ivan perfectly riding a wave until suddenly, the giant wave collapses on him. While the video clearly shows that Ivan safely popped back out of the waves and was headed to the shore, a lot of fans were concerned about his safety. One of the fans commented about the magnitude of the wave Ivan faced saying, “That’s a wall not a wave.” Speaking on the mean fall, Ivan took from his board, one fan aptly said, “Noooo. Wrong place to fall.”

Several fans also praised Ivan for not letting go of his surfboard even in such a tight spot where it was easy for anything to go wrong. Astounded by his resilience, one of the people said, “Did he just hold onto his board while he wiped out?” Praising his hardiness and the way he recovered from that wave, one of the fans commented, “Took it like a champ!”

A Few Chuckles When Ivan Emerged Safely

In the world of the internet and memes, humorous takes find their way into almost any conversation. While such banter is also typical amongst friends, some things stand out even more in text. In fact, the very first person to joke about the whole thing was Nathan Florence himself when he uploaded the video with the caption, “Wave eats surfer and boils like crazy.”
