Laird Hamilton is famous among fans for his tremendous acumen in surfing. With his 40 years of experience as a big wave surfer, he has seen many changes but stuck to his hardboard like always. But who helped him to master his field? Reportedly, this Hawaiian surfer took inspiration from his father Bill Hamilton, who taught him the sport. Recently, a fan shared a picture of the father-son duo on Facebook and that made the fans nostalgic about the legends once again.
The Waterman spent most of his childhood near the sea, loving it and thinking about conquering it one day. Getting help from his stepdad, the legend emerged to be a great surfer.

One fan seemed to have the back story in his mind as he said, “Sunbreaker was a brand launched in South OC Chris Carmichael brought Laird in as a team rider before he was well known. First and only guy I saw windsurf at Salt Creek and ripping it to shreds. Hugely popular brand around here for a short period, then out of business.”
