The survivor was pushed inside the cave by raging waters. Due to high tides, the cave would become submerged whenever a tide came in. It was difficult to breathe inside the cave and panicking was the last thing that anyone could do there.
The survivor was unable to come out!
The video shows Hijo del Mar being pushed into a massive cave at the foot of giant cliffs along the seashore. Unfortunately, due to high tides, the waves were extremely violent. This gave the swimmer absolutely no chance to have any control whatsoever.
Describing the experience inside the cave, the bodysurfer said, “Strong current pushes me towards the cave. LOUD impact noise and wave coming.” He gives an idea about the waves’ strength through his words.
He described that he was unable to come toward the mouth of the cave due to the strong currents. Whenever he tried swimming towards the opening of the cave, he got pushed back in. Even though he tried coming towards the cave opening several times, yet, the strong current did not let him go even slightly closer.
The survivor hit a cliff!
When del Mar finally managed to come out of the water, he found himself on a cliff. He had no choice but to jump into the water once again and swim to safety. After a long time of swimming, he finally managed to bring himself to the seashore.
