Hollywood star, Jonah Hill took time off from social media, to focus on his mental health. After months of keeping away from the media’s attention, the actor was spotted catching waves in California, this week. In contrast, he also once revealed his fear of the sport in his now-deleted Instagram account.
In a recent article by News.com, Hill’s latest surfing session was elucidated in detail. Moreover, he once insinuated that pursuing the sport was his secret dream. Here’s what he said.

According to the article, the 39-year-old filmmaker was caught by the media riding waves in Malibu, on Monday. He donned a black wet suit with a long shaggy beard. After a 2-year hiatus from social media, the cameras focused on him in this rare occurrence. Although, in an Instagram post in 2019, Hill expressed his love for surfing. “Been terrified to surf my whole life,” the 2x Oscar nominee admitted in the caption.
Furthermore, the Superbad icon added, “Totally random fear and at the same time always been a secret dream of mine. Turned out to be one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had.” Talking to GQ in 2021, the actor disclosed that he is part of Surf Jews California, accompanied by filmmaker, Spike Jonze. Apparently, they created the group “just for fun.”

As per reports, the 5’7” celebrity has dodged the spotlight for the past years after he addressed mental health concerns in a Netflix documentary, Stutz, named after his psychiatrist, Phil Stutz. There were speculations that Hill fell victim to anxiety attacks in lieu of his fluctuating weight. “It’s really hard when you’re overweight to dress a certain way because clothes aren’t made for people who are overweight to have style,” he told sources.
